Call for Submissions 

.Currently, we are NOT accepting unsolicited general submissions in any area due to the number of books being readied for publication.

We are a small Independent press specializing in quirky short fiction, witty off-beat novels and novellas, poetry, and memoir.  We are NOT interested in publishing genre fiction like romance novels, historical novels, family memoirs, or crime novels etc. etc. unless of course they are quirky, offbeat works that have a bent all their own.

As our press grows, we hope to meet many new and talented writers.

A word about submission fees:  There will be times that we will promote our independent press through writing competitions.  These competitions may involve submission fees.  These fees are not a profit center for the Paper Journey Press.  In fact, they are simply a way to offset the added clerical costs of reading, categorizing, and recognizing those writers whose works have risen above the rest to be chosen for publication.   Submission fees get more of you into print.  We don't like charging them and we know from our own experience as writers that you don't like paying them.   With that said, it is our sincere hope that a writer's interaction with The Paper Journey will be be a  positive one.  We strive to do our best by developing personal relationships with every author we publish whether it's a 200 word flash-fiction piece or a novel.
